Leslie received her B.S in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she worked with Dr. Steven Zimmerman synthesizing polymers for drug delivery. She has previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry where she worked with biopharmaceutical compounds for analytical and stability testing. Outside of the lab, Leslie enjoys hiking and cross-country traveling with her husband.
